Dr. Tian Zhao is Vice President of Research and Development and is a co-inventor of its core technology. He joined OncoNano in 2016 as its first employee. An experienced chemist and biologist, Tian leads the strategic vision and tactical execution of OncoNano’s research team and is responsible for directing all phases of early asset development. Previously, he worked at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Texas Tech University, where he honed his expertise in nanomedicine and drug discovery. Tian has authored more than 30 scientific publications resulting in more than 1,500 citations and is named on 9 patents. Tian received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Wuhan University, a master’s degree in chemistry from Texas Tech University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in biomedical science from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
